Horninglow and Eton Parish Council is an elected body forming the third tier of government.
The parish council has the same status as a town or city council. The council comprises of 15 members, who act like a board of a company.
All councillors work on a voluntary basis. No councillor has any individual responsibility or can act alone, as the council comes from a body as a whole.
The Clerk, as the proper officer of the council, has a number of specific duties and acts on resolutions passed by the council and also advises on points of law and procedure.
